How to use this book
This book is for WordPress freelancers and small agencies who want to turn care plans from side income into a real, growing part of their business. If you’ve never offered care plans, you can still read it — we define every term and start from the basics.
How the book is organized
The book has six parts. Each part builds on the one before. You can read it cover to cover, or jump straight to the chapter you need.
- I Foundations. Why care plans matter and what kind of care plan to build.
- II Build the offer. Pricing, tiers, and what to include.
- III Sell it. Sales calls, proposals, and contracts.
- IV Deliver. Onboarding, daily operations, and AI workflow.
- V Protect. Difficult clients and how to keep your peace of mind.
- VI Grow and hand off. Adding services, raising prices, and exiting cleanly.
How each chapter works
Every chapter follows the same shape. We start with the situation. We walk through the parts. We end with a short Action Steps box you can follow that day. Watch for three kinds of side boxes:
Things real agencies got wrong, so you don’t have to.
What to do this week to make progress.
Real text you can copy, tweak and use as your own.
A note on language and data
We try to keep the writing simple. The work is hard enough; the book doesn’t need to be. When we use a term you might not know, we explain it the first time.
Many of the examples and workflows in this book come from real conversations we’ve had with WordPress agency owners throughout the years of building WP Umbrella. The tips might not work for everybody, but they’re based on real experiences and case studies.
